Description
Xtreme Gardening Mykos Mycorrhizae – Mycorrhizal Inoculant
Mykos mycorrhizae is an organic soil fungus that increases the amount of nutrients and water a plant can take in. It creates a “sponge-like” mass which binds to the roots of the plant and reaches farther out to create an extension beneath the soil.
Unlike fertilisers it does not add additional nutrients which the plant may not be able to absorb. Instead it helps the plant to feed more easily and gain the full benefits from nutrients already present in the ground.
Acts as a root “extension”
The farther roots can reach the greater access they have to all the nutrients they need and will grow stronger as a result.
The stronger they are the more resistant they will be to adverse weather conditions fluctuations in watering and pests. A plant with a root structure that is allowed to thrive will be physically healthier more efficient in feeding and offer higher-quality and larger yields.
Mykos attaches to roots and helps with feeding in 95% of common plants. With it doing the work for the roots the plant can better focus on breaking down and retaining existing nutrients as a vital part of the feeding cycle.
1 bacteria 3 times the growth
More beneficial microbes may sound better but in reality one is all that’s needed. Soil or substrate is a limited space and the bacteria that would be beneficial are forced to compete when together.
Mykos contains a single kind of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus known as Rhizophagus intraradices or Glomus intraradices. It is a beneficial form of endo-mycorrhizal bacteria that can promote triple the amount of growth.
How to use Xtreme Gardening Mykos?
Mykos is a highly versatile growing aid and can be used in a variety of ways.
For growth in soil peat or coco fertiliser apply in the hole directly around the plant roots. For ground planting and raised beds we recommend approximately 1-2tbsp of granules per plant. Water regularly and reapply weekly through the vegetative and early flowering stages.
Mykos can also be applied in the initial sowing stage; use 1 tbsp per foot of ground.
